The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has taken an important step towards expedite of passport issuing system. MEA has decided to rely on Aadhaar card for identification of the applicant and on the National Crime Records Bureaur (NCRB) database for validation of applicant criminal antecedents. The applicant will get the appointment within 3 days and in another 7 days, the passport will be processed and dispatched to correspondence address of applicant.

Complete Online Procedure to Get Passport in 10 Day with Aadhar Card
Step 1: Before applying for the passport online applicants have to register first himself/herself to signup you have to visit official website which link given here: http://www.passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/welcomeLink
Step 2: Click on “New User? Register Now” button
Step 3: After clicking on this you have to fill form where you have to fill following details Passport office, Name, Surname, Date of Birth, Email Id, Login ID (you have to choose your username here or you can also choose your provided login ID for the login do the needful as per your convenient), password, Hint Question, Hint Answer, fill captcha code and finally click on register button. Step 4: After clicking on this you will get confirmation email of your provided email ID. Now open your email and click on activate link which you have received from Passport department. After clicking on it, it will ask for your user ID/User Name fill it and you will redirect to login page.
Step 5: Fill your login id and password to apply for new passport.
Step 6: Now click on “Apply for Fresh Passport/Re-issue of Passport” option
Step 7: You will get 2 options apply offline or online click on 2nd option “Click here to fill the application form online”
Step 8: Here you will get 3 options choose accordingly if you want to re-issue passport choose it click on fresh passport and other options as well as give in example bleow:
Step 11: Now make payment through your Credit/Debit Card, or internet banking option.
Step 12: After making payment, click on “Application Receipt” link and take out the printout of your submitted application form which should contain application reference number and appointment number.
Step 13: Attach the photocopy of your Aadhaar card with printed application form and visit the designated Passport Seva Kendra with original documents.
Well, after meeting you will get your passport within 7 days at your correspondence address if you want you can also takeout print of your passport after 7 days online.
